Songs come to me in many ways and this was a cool one. One day as I was exiting my car a homeless man was walking down the street yelling to everyone, or no one “I know the way. The way is nowhere!” and I thought to myself what a profound thing to say and if you think about it, it’s true. Here we are, with nowhere to go, no future to prepare or past to repair. Just here and now. All the worry and concern regarding what’s next or constant reflection on the past, both are neither here nor there! All we really have is here and now. So maybe let’s try to live our best lives and be our best versions while we’re here? That’s how this song came to be. A studio version is in the works but this live version was more so for me to practice along with for live performances in the near future!
